Wellness Coordinator

The Center for Black Women’s Wellness, Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to improving the health and well being of African American women and their families.

We are seeking a Wellness Coordinator to oversee the Wellness Program, a program which provides women’s healthcare services twice per week, health education on a broad range of topics in agency and community settings, and linkages to low cost mammography screening. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: oversee day-to-day operations of the Wellness Program and staff; research and propose additional grants that would support the objectives of the Wellness Program as well as prepare responses to RFP’s and letters of inquiry; plan and implement seminars and workshops on health issues determined by grants or identified as needed in the community; and build relationships with agencies to increase client base.

Qualifications: Must have a bachelors degree in public health, health education, or related field. Masters degree preferred. Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills; experience conducting educational presentations; and experience working in a community or clinical setting. Experience working in a non-profit community based organization a plus.
