OVERVIEW: For many Atlanta women, the new year brings resolutions to take better care of their health. But for the increasing number of Atlantans without health insurance due to the economic downturn, resolutions like “schedule a mammogram” or “get complete physical” are out of reach.
The Center for Black Women’s Wellness (CBWW), an Atlanta healthcare nonprofit organization is in its second year offering the “Gift of Wellness,” an innovative gifting program for uninsured and low-income women in need of quality healthcare. Consisting of four packaged health care services delivered by the medical practitioners of CBWW’s Wellness Program and Clinic, the services are priced to be affordable gifts for those who want to ensure adequate health coverage for Atlanta’s uninsured.
GIFT OF WELLNESS BENEFITS: CBWW's Gift of Wellness provides a supreme life-changing and lifesaving gift option great for relatives, friends, teen moms, church members, entrepreneurs, uninsured employees and community members without health insurance or who cannot afford preventative health care.
