Founded in 1988, CBWW is a non-profit organization that provides free and low-cost services to empower underserved Black women, and their families, toward physical, mental and economic wellness. CBWW offers the following comprehensive services: women’s health and primary healthcare; community-based screening services; health education programs; prenatal case management services; self-employment training; and youth development programs.
ABOUT THE FULL-TIME POSITIONS
CBWW is seeking to fill two full-time AmeriCorps VISTA positions within our organization under our Wellness Capacity Builders grant from the U.S. Government AmeriCorps VISTA umbrella. These positions report to the Operations Manager within the organization’s Department of Operations.
POSITIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Management Coordinator
This VISTA supports CBWW in the creation and management of organization-level analytics that deliver actionable insights. This VISTA with CBWW staff supports the development and implement a community digital literacy strategy for digital access and inclusion services with a special focus on serving elderly and low income populations that we serve.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with key users to define and prioritize outcome and information needs
- Craft and construct visually engaging, creative, and easy-to-use data delivery solutions including dashboards, scorecards, and reports that enable users to be more productive and better informed
- Support the execution of the full development lifecycle.
- Develop a digital literacy program and strategies to engage adult participants in need of increased digital access and digital literacy.
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
- Background in data, business analysis, process improvement along with excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with Excel, Tableau and relational databases.
- Familiarity in using information and communication technologies to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information.
- Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and maintain responsibility for multiple tasks.
Volunteer and Administrative Coordinator
CBWW is looking for a competent and energetic individual to serve as our VISTA Volunteer and Administrative Coordinator. He/she will manage all elements of our volunteer programs. CBWW has volunteer opportunities for clinical professionals, lay professionals and student interns. We also partner with schools, colleges and universities seeking clinical practicum and rotation experience for their students.
The VISTA Volunteer and Administrative Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include
- Work with staff in the development of volunteer opportunities within their areas of responsibility and assist in the creation of volunteer opportunity descriptions. Create and implement a system designed to delegate volunteer responsibilities and ensure detailed training is provided for the accomplishment of assigned tasks.
- Research and assess various tools and techniques for meeting the volunteer recruiting and placement needs of the organization. This will include but is not limited to: a recruitment plan, on-boarding/orientation process, comprehensive retention plan, end of assignment exit process. Adapt or identify a background check process for volunteers
- Work with Outreach team to organize profile-raising events to attract new and retain current volunteers. Create and coordinate volunteer events to include Volunteer Open House and Information Sessions, Volunteer Orientation and all other events.
- Create presentation slide decks, for use at volunteer recruitment events (ex. open houses, orientations) and develop graphically appealing volunteer recruitment materials.
- Create a communication portal for frequent, relevant and effective communication with our volunteers ensuring they are mentored and supported in their role. Ensure opportunity satisfaction of volunteers by creating a healthy work environment. Compile volunteer testimonials on a monthly basis and write stories for inclusion in quarterly electronic newsletter, donor newsletter, social media posts, website, and annual report. Create, coordinate and implement volunteer celebrations of recognition and appreciation.
- Develop a retention plan to keep volunteers engaged, committed and energized. Provide constructive feedback while acknowledging and rewarding achievements.
- Maintain the organization’s volunteer database, schedules and attendance through the Volgistics software. Research the software’s capabilities and create an organizational implementation plan that finds us utilizing this resource to capacity. Develop and implement an electronic volunteer tracking, monitoring and evaluation process.
- Develop and manage partnerships with schools, civic organizations, and associations to facilitate the recruitment of specialized volunteers (ex. physicians, nurses)
- Serve as liaison to the Georgia Volunteer Health Care Program and submit applications to credential volunteer healthcare professionals.
- Perform the necessary administrative clerical duties to deliver on listed tasks (correspondence preparation, scheduling, filing, documentation).
- Train staff to manage volunteer plan creating sustainability for the organization’s volunteer program.
- Help with the retrieval and processing of invoices.
- Place orders and perform account reconciliation as related to the operations of the organization.
- Assist in creating electronic filing systems and associated protocols.
