The pandemic brought attention to health inequities that have existed for far too long; and created significant economic instability — especially for those already vulnerable. As women faced job loss, fear, stress, isolation, and despair, CBWW remained essential, offering support, resources, and hope.
Through the generosity of donors, we implemented a COVID Relief Project to uplift women and families impacted by pandemic by providing essential needs, resulting in over 300 families receiving rental, utility, and grocery assistance. We offered telehealth, virtual group education, and virtual prenatal home visitation to ensure continuous healthcare and services while ensuring the safety of participants, staff and volunteers.
Today, CBWW is committed to ensuring equitable access to vaccines, providing judgment-free education to help women make informed decisions for themselves and their families, and linking families to resources, such as COVID testing kits.
