Why Volunteer?

By volunteering at the Center for Black Women’s Wellness, Inc. (CBWW), you can help change our community and touch the lives of our friends, families, and neighbors in a very special way.

Whether you are a high school student or college student who wants to explore a health career. business person who wants to become connected to the community or a retiree who just wants to keep active and have fun, you will find a volunteer opportunity that means your needs. As you assist our staff, help patients and visitors, you will develop new skills and experience the joy of helping others.

Volunteers with CBWW have many different opportunities to choose from. We will work with you to find an area that matches your skill level and interests.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old; are expected to keep a regular schedule of 4-6 hours and commit to a minimum of 6 months.

Complete the Volunteer application followed by a 20-30 minute pre-interview with a Volunteer Services staff member. If a match is found for a volunteer position, you will be asked to provide a copy of your background report and complete other required forms.

• All volunteers are required to attend CBWW’s orientation. The session is designed to educate volunteers about responsibilities, expectations, and our systems.
