Program: Atlanta Healthy Start Initiative
The Center for Black Women’s Wellness (CBWW) is a community-based nonprofit organization that is committed to enhancing the health and well-being of Black women and their families. The organization provides several comprehensive programs that are designed to educate, empower, and inspire participants to make positive changes in their lives and the lives of their families.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Outreach Worker is responsible for effectively recruiting and enrolling program participants in Atlanta Healthy Start and all other CBWW programs. The Outreach Worker will report directly to the Outreach Coordinator. This is a temporary position, part-time position working up to 20 hours per week.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attract and enroll program participants utilizing a variety of proven effective outreach strategies and methods
- Systematically distribute program information throughout the community and to other community agencies
- Create opportunities to raise community awareness about CBWW programs
- Participate in community events and activities to recruit potential clients
- Maintain effective community relationships to support recruiting initiatives
- Document and track all recruitment efforts in an online database
- Input recruitment efforts in a timely manner
- Provide weekly reports to Outreach Coordinator
- Other duties as assigned and necessary for successful program administration and delivery
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
QUALIFICATIONS
- One year of work experience in a community setting
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Familiar with the City of Atlanta and Fulton County
- Knowledge of Metro Atlanta community resources
