PROGRAM: Wellness Program
The Center for Black Women’s Wellness (CBWW) is a community-based nonprofit organization that is committed to enhancing the health and well-being of Black women and their families. The organization provides several comprehensive programs that are designed to educate, empower and inspire participants to make positive changes in their lives and the lives of their families. Its core services are aimed at eliminating health inequities across a range of health areas and include low cost and no cost healthcare (women’s health, primary care and mental health); health education to improve health outcomes and healthy behaviors; prenatal home visiting for pregnant women and their infants to improve maternal and infant health; and financial literacy and micro-business training to improve women’s economic wellbeing.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Wellness Program consists of various initiatives including breast and cervical health, chronic disease management, behavioral health, environmental wellness, and vaccine hesitancy. Reporting to the Wellness Program Manager, the Wellness Program Associate is responsible for assisting with day-to-day operational and program support for the Wellness Program.
*Note: this is a part-time position: 25 hours/week
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide ongoing support to administrative tasks related to the Wellness Clinic and Program
- Assist in program implementation and coordination by assisting Wellness Team with recruitment, enrollment, retention, and follow-up
- Create and maintain a calendar of events for the Wellness Program initiatives
- Assist with grant application research and reporting for current and new funding opportunities
- Prepare and disseminate correspondence for internal partners, external partners, and community stakeholders
- Collect and enter data for program participants and initiatives
- Assist with the scheduling of meetings, events and other community activities related to the Wellness Program initiatives
- Attend events related to Wellness Program initiatives virtually and/or in person, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of two years clerical and/or administrative office work experience
- Experience working in a non-profit organization a plus, but not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Command of Microsoft Office applications with high proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point
- Must be teachable, flexible and willing to grow with the needs of the program
